The Manjari Seva which even Gauranga Mahaprabhu is not giving, Nitai can give by His mercy


The Original Quote

Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja categorically said:

“Don’t think that only Caitanya Mahaprabhu can give gopi prema.

“Also Nityananda Prabhu can give.

“What Mahaprabhu is not giving, He (Nitai) can give by His mercy.

“That is why He can give, in Ananga-manjari form, even gopi prema.

“Sometimes Radhika gives Her seat to Ananga-manjari.

“One may think, ‘Nityananda does not have a manjari mood and he did not preach it – so he is not guru. I will not obey him. I will only obey Srila Rupa Gosvami.’

“A person who thinks in this way is a bogus person, an offender in the lotus feet of the entire guru-parampara.”

Nitai is Not Just the Means But the Goal Too

What Srila Narayana Maharaja clearly means above is that Nitai Bhakti is not just the means to Gauranga or Manjari-seva of Radha Krishna.

But it is in fact also the goal even for those who aspire only for manjari-seva in Vraja lila and don’t want to enter in the audarya nitya-lila of Navadvipa-Ekachakra.

It is because according to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada Nitai Himself is Ananga Manjari, the most merciful and in fact the ONLY bestower of true Rupa-ashraya and Manjari-dasyam to Radhe and Her ashtasakhis, as we see in the pastime of the attainment of the Kamal manjari spiritual form of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura in the nitya-lila.

Even after knowing this, unfortunately, everyone is blindly running directly after Mahaprabhu and Radha Krishna and very few are even caring about, stressing on, explaining, or even considering these direct words of Srila Narayana Maharaja:

“What (manjari-seva) Mahaprabhu is not giving, He (Nitai) can give by His mercy.”

Nitai is Manjari-bhavi, Gaura is Radha-bhavi

By stating, “What Mahaprabhu is not giving, Nitai is giving”, Srila Narayana Maharaja confirms that whatever all Gaura Krishna gives to us is only through Nitai and not directly.

He is just re-stating this declaration of Lord Gaura Himself and Srila Vrindavana dasa Thakura in Sri Chaitanya Bhagavata 3.5.102-103:

ei nityananda jei karAya AmAre; sei kari ami, ei balila tomAre.

“I am declaring it to you today very clearly that whatever my Nityananda makes me do, I only do that, nothing else.”

AmAra sakala karma nityananda dvAre; akapate ei Ami kahila tomare.

“All actions which I Myself want to do in the entire creation are only done through My Nityananda, no one else, not even by Me directly. I am revealing you this absolute truth today in full honesty without exaggerating or hiding anything from you.”

mora deha haite. nityananda-deha bada; satya satya sabare kahinu ei dadha.

The Supreme Lord Gaura Krishna Himself declared as follows that His topmost devotee Nitai is higher than Him in Sri Caitanya Bhagavata 3.2.258 because He (Gaura) is Radha-bhavi and Nitai is Manjari-bhavi as Srila Narayana Maharaja has clearly pointed out in his above quote:

“The supremely divine body of My Nityananda is more higher than My own body. I repeatedly assure you that this is the most emphatic truth.”

Nitai has Full Independence to Award Us Manjari-Seva

It is also in full confirmation of Srila Vishvanatha Chakravarti Thakura’s divine affirmation in Sri Madhurya Kadambini that the Supreme Lord Gaura Krishna has granted full independence to His topmost devotees like Lord Nitai to indiscriminately and unconditionally grant His pure love to whichever soul They want.

So even if it is not the desire of the Supreme Lord Gaura Krishna Himself to award His pure love to some soul due to the soul’s current offensive state, He still unhesitatingly and whole-heartedly accepts the will of His beloved Nitaichand if Nitai decides to confer manjari-seva on that soul even in the soul’s offensive condtion (aparadha sattve jiva labhe premadhana).

We see this clearly in the deliverance pastime of Jagai and Madhai and in many many other deliverance pastimes by Nitaichand like tricking Gaura to eat in the house of the drunkard sannyasi, etc. etc.

It is the very irony of the all-pervading Maya which tries her best to stop or delay us from entering the nitya-lila in our real svarupa by not letting us whole-heartedly accept Nitai Bhakti for Harinama Siddhi in manjari-seva.

We look at Nitai Bhakti but still simply can’t understand its paramount importance for manjari-seva and thus ignore or neglect it totally, justifying this rejection in the name of “my guru did not stress on it or that my guru-bhakti can give me everything and so I don’t need to do Nitai Bhakti for attaining manjari-seva”.

This is called pashyan api na pashyati, to see but yet willingly not see!!!

No one can wake up such a person.

However, whatever one believes in, the true means to attain manjari-seva still remains only through Nitai Bhakti - “heno nitai bine bhai, radha krishna paite nai“, whether anyone in this world or devotee community accepts it or not.

The truth is not a case of majority. It remains the truth even if no one accepts or follows it.

Gaura or Radha Krishna never bestow manjari-seva directly on any soul according to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada in Shrimati Radhika, Associates of Shri Chaitanya:

“Shrimati Radhika is the guru of the inner circle of the servants of Krishna.

“Shrimati, however, accepts the offer of service of only those souls who are specially favored by Nityananda and are deemed by Him to be fit for Her service.

“There is, therefore a most intimate relationship between the function of Nityananda and that of Shrimati which is at once supplementary and inclusive of the former.”

Sri Radhika accepts a soul into manjari-seva only and only if that soul is first accepted by our Manjari-seva Samashti Guru Nitai as His very own, which is only possible through Nitai Bhakti, and after that only if that soul is personally recommended by Nitai to Them for manjari-seva.

And this is the precise reason why all our Goswamis who were nitya-siddha manjaris surrendered completely to Nitai first whether it is for attaining Gaura-dasyam or to attain their nitya-siddha manjari-seva in Vrajadhama.

So if there is no way to attain manjari-seva without Nitai Bhakti even for the nitya-sidha manjaris like our Goswamis, how much infinitely more do we need to fully surrender to Nitai Bhakti to attain any real chance for manjari-seva in the chanting of shuddha Harinama in this life?

Being a Rupanuga Under Rupa Manjari is also Only Possible by Nitai Bhakti

Now to confirm the below two paragraphs of Srila Narayana Maharaja from the most secret scriptural quotes:

“One may think, ‘Nityananda does not have a manjari mood and he did not preach it – so he is not guru. I will not obey him. I will only obey Srila Rupa Gosvami.’

“A person who thinks in this way is a bogus person, an offender in the lotus feet of the entire guru-parampara.”

Here are scriptural quotes which fully establish what Srila Narayana Maharaja is saying in regards to one needing to fully surrender to Nitai to become a true Rupanuga:

Srila Krishnadasa Kaviraja reveals in Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita 1.5.201-202:

jaya jaya nityananda, jaya krpa-maya, janha haite painu rupa-sanatanashraya.

janha haite painu raghunatha-mahasaya; lanha haite painu sri-svarupa-ashraya.

“All glory, all glory to the most merciful Lord Nitai, only and only by Whose causeless mercy I effortlessly attained shelter of Sri Rupa, Sri Sanatana, Sri Raghunatha, and Sri Svarupa Damodar in Vraja dhama!”

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Prabhupada in his essay To be a Vrajavasi:

“One cannot know about Vraja except through subservience to Sri Rupa Manjari and Sri Rati Manjari.

“When we receive the mercy of Prabhu Nityananda, on that very day we will understand the mercy of Sri Rupa Manjari and Sri Rati Manjari.”

From Sri Chaitanya Bhagavata Anubhashya of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada 2.13.255:

“Sri Nityananda Prabhu is the emperor of the Vaisnavas.

“No one has ever distributed such mercy on the Gaudiyas as Sri Nityananda has in His pastimes of awarding the ecstatic love for Krishna that was distributed by the munificence of Sri Caitanya.

“By His mercy there is a ray of hope that the living entities of this material world may become qualified for the service of Lord Gaurasundara’s intimate associates like Sri Gadadhara, Sri Rupa, Sri Sanatana, Sri Svarupa, and Raghunatha.”

Sri Caitanya Caritamrita Madhya 1.183:

ardha-ratre dui bhai, aila prabhu-sthane; prathame milila nityananda-haridasa sane.

“Thus in the dead of night the two brothers, Dabira Khasa (Rupa Goswami) and Sakara Mallika (Sanatana Goswami), went to see Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu incognito. First they received the mercy of Nityananda Prabhu with Haridasa Thakura.”

Sri Caitanya Caritamrita Antya Lila 1.56:

‘advaita nityananda, tomara dui-jane’; prabhu kahe — rupe krpa kara kaya-mane.

“Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu requested Nityananda Prabhu and Advaita Acharya,

‘You should both show Your mercy whole-heartedly to Rupa Gosvami.’”

Now to discuss Srila Narayana Maharaja’s words: “What Mahaprabhu is not giving, He (Nitai) can give by His mercy.” from the scriptures.

Radha Enjoys 10 Million Times More Than Krishna

Sri Caitanya Caritamrta 1.4.126:

nija-premasvade mora haya ye ahlada; taha ha’te koti-guna radha-premasvada.

“Whatever pleasure I (Krishna) get from tasting My love for Srimati Radharani, She tastes ten million times more than Me by Her love.

Radha’s Manjaris Enjoy 10 Million Times More Than Even Radha

Sri Caitanya Caritamrta 2.8.210:

krsna-lilamrta yadi latake sinchaya; nija-sukha haite pallavadyera koti-sukha haya.

“When the nectar of Krsna’s pastimes is sprinkled on that lata creeper (Radha), the happiness derived by the twigs, flowers and leaves (Manjaris) is ten million times greater than that derived by the creeper (Radha) itself.””

In his Amrta-pravaha-bhasya, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura confirms that,

“Srimati Radharani is the creeper of love of Godhead, and Her manjaris are exactly like twigs, flowers and leaves.

Radha’s Manjaris Enjoy 100 Trillion Times More Than Krishna

So considering the above two verses, Radha’s Manjaris experience 10 million times more divine happiness than Their Swamini Radha Herself and 10 million x 10 million = 100 trillion times more happiness than what Krishna feels in Radha’s association.

This is why Krishna is so attracted to the Manjaris.

And this is why Gaura Himself assumes unspeakable beauty and goes into the deepest divine trance of manjari-prema (CB 2.26.74 and Prema Vilasa 1.51-52) simply by saying or hearing the name of Nitai, who is Ananga-manjari Herself.

There Are Two Different Ananga Manjaris

Srila Rupa’s Radha Krishna Gannodesha Dipika in verses 96-97 mentions one Ananga Manjari as a Vara Gopi whom some claim have sama-sneha for both Radha and Krishna.

But Radha Krishna Gannodesha Dipika in verses 179-181 also directly lists as no. 1 another Ananga-manjari who is the primary palya-dasi manjari of Radha, having vishama-sneha or more love for Radha than Krishna.

So obviously these two are different Ananga Manjaris.

One is Ananga Manjari Vara Gopi and the other is Ananga-manjari palya-dasi who is the eternally 13-year old younger sister of Srimati Radha and the bosom-friend of Srila Rupa and Kamal manjaris as described by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura himself.

Srila Bhaktivinoda describes in Siddhi lalasa and Navadvipa Bhava Taranga how Rupa and Ananga are always together. nitai-jahnava pada chaya jar asha…

Svajatiya gopis with the same mood associate intimately with each other.

So if this Rupa’s friend was the Vara-gopi Ananga Manjari, then why would she, being in sama-sneha, be such an intimate bosom friend of Rupa who is in vishama-sneha? That simply does not make sense.

Nitai is Radha’s Ananga-manjari Palya-dasi not the other Ananga Manjari Vara-gopi

So the conclusion is that Nitai is Ananga-manjari as the vishuddha palya-dasi manjari of Radha as listed in the very first place as the foremost manjari in RKGP 179-181 rather than the Ananga Manjari Vara Gopi (who is older) listed in the RKGP 96-97.

Therefore, Nitai is Sakshat Ananga-manjari palya-dasi according to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada’s anubhashya purport to Sri Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.12.26: sri nityananda radharanira anuja rupe, madhurya rasera poshana karen.

And Nitai, Jahnavi and Vasudha, all three of Them, are Radha’s Ananga-manjari palya-dasi according to Sri Gaura Gannodesha Dipika verse 66:

kecit sri-vasudha-devim kalav api vivrnvate | ananga-manjarim kecij jahnavim ca pracaksate | ubhayam tu samicinam purva-nyayat satam matam ||66||

Also, if Nitai was not a pure palya-dasi Ananga-manjari of Radha and just a Vara-sakhi, then Srila Narayana Maharaja would have never said that Nitai as Ananga-manjari awards us that manjari-seva which even Gaura may not give.

And Finally the Real Esoteric Reason Why Gaura States that Nitai is Higher Than Himself and Why Srila Narayana Maharaja states that Nitai can Give what even Gaura can’t Give

Thus all Three of Them as Radha’s palya-dasi manjaris relish a happiness which is 10 million more than Srimati Radhika Herself and 100 trillion times more than Sri Krishna.

Therefore, this is the most secret esoteric reason why Radha-bhavi Gaura Himself declares that His Manjari-bhavi Nitai is higher than Himself.

The Real Siddha-Deha Prapti

Hence, the real Siddha-Deha-Prapti Sadhana or “Siddha Pranali” is Nitai Bhakti ONLY.

Therefore, there is no need to foolishly go and accept the bogus siddha-pranalis in the ear when anyway Nitai is the only Personality in the whole creation who can truly show us our real not fake spiritual forms in both the nitya-lilas (radhika-mantra-do) through Nitai Bhakti and Ekachakra Nitya-lila Dhyan and thus award us our manjari-seva in Shuddha Harinama a very few days (sei maha-vaishanva haya tatakshana).
